About

Carrying the western end of the East Coast Parkway over the Marina Reservoir, this 1.8 km bridge is both the longest and the tallest in Singapore, rising to 29 metres. It opened on 26 September 1981 and honours Benjamin Sheares, who was Singapore's second President.
