  1. These Terms are effective for all Users who use the Services. Use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendment does not violate relevant laws, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (the "Network Act"), the Framework Act on Consumers, and the Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions.
  3. Any amendment unfavorable to Users shall be announced at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date.
  4. If a User continues to use the Services after the effective date of the amended Terms, the User shall be deemed to have consented to the amended Terms.
  5. If necessary, the Company may set forth individual terms and conditions, policies, or operational principles for specific items within the Services. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and any such individual terms and conditions, the individual terms and conditions shall prevail with respect to that item.

Chapter II

Use of Services

Article 4

Commencement of Use

The Services are provided without account registration, subscription, or payment. Users may commence use of the Services at any time by accessing the website or application, and shall be deemed to have consented to these Terms upon such commencement.

Article 5

Service Hours

  1. The Company shall provide the Services on a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year basis, in principle, unless there are special reasons in business or technical terms.
  2. The Company may conduct regular or occasional inspections, deployments, or maintenance, during which access to the Services may be interrupted. The Company shall not be liable for any inconvenience caused by such interruptions, except as expressly provided in applicable laws.

Article 6

Description of Services

  1. The Company provides the following Services:
    1. Station-level practical information organized around Singapore's MRT and LRT network, including station exits;
    2. Information on places to visit and to eat in Singapore, including hawker centres and the days they close, and on getting to them;
    3. Editorial guides for foreign visitors; and
    4. Other services that the Company may add from time to time.
  2. The Company compiles information from publicly available sources, including open data published by public bodies, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, and the information rail operators publish, and from editorial research. While the Company aims for accuracy, the Company makes no warranty as to the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the Content. Users are advised to verify time-sensitive details (such as opening hours, fees, train services, and station exits) directly with the relevant venue or operator before visiting.
  3. The Services are provided as a guide and do not constitute a brokerage, reservation, or transaction service. Reservations, purchases, and transactions take place on third-party services that the Company may link to. The Company is not a party to any such transactions and shall not be liable for matters arising from them.

Article 7

Modification and Suspension of Services

  1. The Company may modify the Services at any time and shall announce material modifications on the Services in advance.
  2. The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the Services in any of the following cases:

    2. Where normal Service provision is not possible due to power outage, failure of Service facilities, excessive use of the Services, or repair, inspection or suspension of facilities by a facilities-based telecommunications service provider;
    3. Where the Company determines that it is inappropriate to continue providing the Services due to operational, technical, or business reasons; or
    4. Other force majeure events such as natural disasters and national emergencies.
  3. In the event of any change or suspension of the Services under this Article, the Company shall not provide any separate compensation to Users unless specifically provided for in the applicable laws and regulations.

Chapter III

Rights and Obligations

Article 8

Indexing, AI Discovery, and Restrictions on Training Use

  1. The Services are intended to be discoverable through search engines and AI assistants. The Company welcomes Automated Access to the Services for the limited purpose of:
    1. Indexing the Services for retrieval and search;
    2. Generating user-facing answers that surface, cite, or link back to the Services in response to end-user queries (commonly referred to as "live retrieval" or "real-time grounding");
    3. Quoting or summarizing limited portions of the Content for the purpose of directing end users to the Services.
  2. The access set forth in Paragraph 1 above is welcomed on the following conditions:
    1. When the Content is surfaced to end users, attribution to "DealSingapore" and a link to https://dealsingapore.com shall be provided so that end users may visit the Services for the underlying information;
    2. The Content shall not be presented in a manner that is intended to substitute for, or that materially discourages end users from visiting, the Services;
    3. The aggregate request rate shall be kept reasonable. A guideline of approximately one request per second per IP address is suggested as a matter of etiquette.
  3. Express restriction on AI training use. Notwithstanding Paragraph 1, the Company does NOT grant permission for, and expressly reserves all rights against, the use of the Content for any of the following purposes:
    1. Inclusion of the Content (in whole or in substantial part, in raw, transformed, embedded, or summarised form) in any training corpus, fine-tuning dataset, evaluation set, or similar collection used to develop, train, fine-tune, distill, or otherwise improve any machine-learning model, including large language models, vision-language models, or retrieval-augmented model checkpoints;
    2. The creation of embeddings, vector representations, or other derivative encodings of the Content for the purpose of building a competing or substitutable product, service, or model;
    3. The republication of the Content via any AI-generated interface that does not contemporaneously fetch the Services and surface the attribution and link required under Paragraph 2.
    This restriction is an express reservation of rights under Article 4 of EU Directive 2019/790 on Copyright and Related Rights in the Digital Single Market, under Article 93 (Database Producer's Right) of the Korean Copyright Act, and under any analogous protection of database and compilation rights in any jurisdiction in which the Content is accessed. The Company's bot-specific signals (including the Content-Signal directive and per-bot blocks in /robots.txt) operationalise this restriction.
  4. Nothing in this Article shall be construed to permit:
    1. Wholesale extraction, copying, or republication of the Content, in whole or in substantial part, as a dataset, product, or service that competes with or substitutes for the Services;
    2. The removal or alteration of attribution, source links, or other indicators of authorship;
    3. The misrepresentation of the source of the Content.
  5. Machine-readable access policies are published at /robots.txt and shall be considered authoritative in case of any inconsistency with this Article. Continued Automated Access to the Services after the publication of these Terms constitutes acceptance of the restrictions in Paragraph 3 above.

Article 9

Intellectual Property

  1. Copyrights and intellectual property rights in the Services, including the DealSingapore name, logo, original editorial copy, and curated combinations of public data, belong to the Company.
  2. Data and any photographs from the third-party sources listed in Article 12 remain subject to their original licenses. Brand names, logos, venue photographs, and third-party content reachable through outbound links belong to the respective third parties.
  3. Subject to Article 8, Users may use the Content for personal, informational, editorial, research, and indexing purposes, provided that attribution is given as set forth in Article 8, Paragraph 2.

Article 10

User Obligations

  1. Users shall comply with these Terms, applicable laws and regulations, and any notices announced by the Company on the Services.
  2. Users shall not engage in any conduct that interferes with the Company's business activities or the use of the Services by other Users beyond what is reasonably foreseeable in the ordinary course of access (including Automated Access permitted under Article 8).
  3. Users shall verify time-sensitive information directly with the relevant venue before acting on it, and shall be solely responsible for travel decisions made in reliance on the Content.

Article 11

Prohibited Acts

Users shall not engage in any of the following:

  1. Using the Services to harass, deceive, defraud, or harm other persons;
  2. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Company's servers, infrastructure, or non-public data through hacking, credential stuffing, vulnerability exploitation, or other unauthorized means;
  3. Conducting Automated Access in violation of the conditions or restrictions set forth in Article 8, including by extracting or republishing the Content as a substitute for the Services, removing attribution, or sustaining a request rate that materially degrades the Services for other Users;
  4. Misrepresenting the source of the Content or otherwise passing it off as the User's own original work;
  5. Using the Services in connection with any unlawful activity, including any activity that violates the laws of the Republic of Korea.

The Company may, at its discretion and without prior notice, restrict access to the Services for Users found to be in breach of this Article.

Article 12

The Services contain links to third-party content, including official venue websites, Google Maps, and Wikidata. Such third-party content is owned and operated by the respective third parties, and the Company is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of such third parties.

Sights combine the National Heritage Board's lists of National Monuments and Historic Sites (names, addresses, positions and descriptions; NHB's descriptions are shown in its own words), descriptions written by Deal Labs from the facts in English Wikipedia for places NHB does not describe (no Wikipedia text is reproduced), translations of all descriptions by Deal Labs, Wikidata (CC0) for names in other languages, types and official sites, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority's planning areas. Which other places are listed follows fixed rules set out with the data; English Wikivoyage's Singapore guides are read only to see which places they list, and none of their text is used. The National Heritage Board and the Urban Redevelopment Authority do not endorse the Services. Opening hours are not in these sources; check each place's own site.

Areas are a list of neighbourhoods chosen by Deal Labs. Their names, centre points and photos come from Wikidata (CC0) and Wikimedia Commons (each photo under its own licence, credited below); their descriptions are written by Deal Labs from the facts in English Wikipedia and from this site's own data (no Wikipedia text is reproduced); and the stations, sights and hawker centres shown for an area are the ones within a set straight-line distance of its centre.

The map's base tiles are served by OpenFreeMap (© OpenMapTiles, data from © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). The lines drawn over them join each station to the next and do not follow the track.

The places to eat near each station come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL), data as of 6 May 2026: named restaurants, fast food places, cafes and food courts, with the distance from the nearest exit worked out by the Company. OpenStreetMap is edited by volunteers; the Company does not check whether a place is still open or its hours.

The Michelin page names the places in the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2026 selection (stars and Bib Gourmand) as the news reports of the selection list them, using only the places every list names, with the Chinese names, cuisines and hawker centres from Michelin's press release for the 2025 edition. MICHELIN and Bib Gourmand are Michelin's trademarks. The Company is not connected with Michelin, and nothing on the page is taken from the guide's own website.

Japanese station names come from Wikidata (CC0) and are provisional; a station Wikidata has no Japanese name for is shown in English.

Photographs are from Wikimedia Commons, cropped, resized and converted to WebP by Deal Labs. Each remains under its own licence:

The photos in the sight and hawker centre galleries are credited on a page of their own: photo credits.

Sources and methods

Distances and walking minutes. Every distance is a straight line, usually from the nearest station exit, not a walking route. Walking minutes count 80 m a minute along that line.

Stations and exits. Stations, codes, lines and exits with their positions are LTA's (DataMall GTFS). Under "Which exit?", the places listed at an exit are the ones that exit is nearest to in a straight line; LTA's signs in the station can differ, and they have the last word.

Live service, lifts, crowds and buses. Read live from LTA DataMall when a page asks, and kept for a few minutes. Bus arrival times are LTA's estimates; first and last buses are LTA's timetable for the stop. Bus stops are listed within 150 m of a station exit, and within 300 to 400 m of a hawker centre or sight. Busy hours are a month of taps in and out at the fare gates.

Opening hours and open now. Opening hours are read by hand from each place's own site, where its terms allow it, with the day they were read ("Checked"). Whether a place is open now is worked out on your phone in Singapore time. A place with no hours shown has none read yet; its own site has them.

Hawker centres. Centres, stall counts, descriptions and closure days are NEA's (data.gov.sg), with NEA's remarks in its own words. "Closed today" is worked out in Singapore time from NEA's dates, which run to the end of the last quarter NEA has published. Each stall keeps its own hours, and no open list publishes them.

Sights and areas. Sights are the National Heritage Board's monuments and historic sites and other places with a Wikipedia article; names in other languages are Wikidata's. Descriptions are NHB's own words or written by Deal Labs from the facts in English Wikipedia. Areas list the stations, sights and hawker centres within a set straight-line distance of their centre.

Places near a station. Places to eat are OpenStreetMap's named restaurants, cafes, fast food places and food courts within 300 m of an exit, nearest first, not a ranking, without hours. Pharmacies, money changers and hotels are the registers of HSA, MAS and the Hotels Licensing Board, up to three of each within 400 m. Taxi stands are LTA's; smoking areas are NEA's; park toilets and water points are NParks'.

Weather. NEA's real-time readings and forecasts on data.gov.sg, read when a page opens and kept for five minutes; a station or area gets the forecast area nearest it. Month-by-month figures are 1991 to 2020 averages at NEA's Changi Climate Station, worked out from NEA's monthly records.

Events. What's on is Esplanade's own listings, read from each event's page: the title, first and last day, hall, genre and whether it is free. Times, prices and seats are on the event's page; nothing else of the page is reproduced.

Rules, fares and guides. Each guide is from the body or law it names (such as LTA, PTC, ICA, IRAS, MOM, MAS, PUB, Singapore Statutes Online and the airport), read on the day shown as "Checked"; the official pages are the authority when they change.

For apps and AI agents. The same facts, each with its source, method and the day it was read, are in the JSON under /api, described in /llms.txt.
